Dear Students,
Here are some of the important notes and information you need to prepare for your upcoming first term examination.
Unit 1. Personal Needs and Development Across Lifespan
A. Different stages of life (Infancy, Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood and Elderly)
B. Basic human needs (Remember different needs in different stages of life), Maslow's hierarchy of needs
C. Theories of development (Cognitive development, pyschosexual development, psychosocial stages and moral development)*
*Remember the psychologists too!
D. What do you understand by self-concepts? (Self image, self esteem, ideal self). Factors affecting self-concept
E. Interpersonal relationships. Factor affecting interpersonal relationships (Socialization, parenting styles, education, peer groups)
F. Life events (Anticipated and unanticipated)
G. Response to life events (Coping, resilience, positive attitude)
